Movement for the Abolition of War

“For 40 years I had continuous experience in the theory and practice of war. No one studied it more keenly than I did and I was in a position to know what war really meant. And the only conclusions I have been able to reach are these - that war seldom, if ever, settles anything.” - Field Marshall Sir WIlliam Robertson

Peace Map - more entries needed! can you help?

The Peace Map of the British Isles continues to develop but we need more sites! So far the database has complete entries for the following: Tilgate Park Peace Garden, Crawley; St Aidan's Peace Church, Berwick-on-Tweed; Birmingham Peace Garden; Pinner Peace Garden; Greenham Peace Garden; Richmond Castle, N.Yorkshire; Wilfred Owen Memorial, Shrewsbury; Beachy Head Peace Path, Sussex; Nether Wasdale War Memorial Shelter, Cumbria; York St.John University Peace Garden; Cardiff Greenham Statue; Henry Richard Statue, Tregaron; Temple of Peace, Cardiff. As you can see, there is some variety, but we need more, so further publicity in other organisations or likely magazines would be good. Please copy the article that was in the last MAW newsletter and pass it on to your contacts and friends around the country! Once you have identified a suitable site, fill in this form to provide us with the information we need to include it on the database ( form to be added here shortly)
