Movement for the Abolition of War

“More frequently than not, war leads to fresh wars. Preparing for war never seems to prevent it, but rather to precipitate it; and in its conclusions was is just about as disasterous to the victor as to the vanquished.” - Field Marshall Sir William Robertson

Damaging Effects of War

This section documents the many forms of damage that war is responsible for – from human casualties to long-term ecological damage.  There is not just the damage done to other countries and their inhabitants to consider, but the damage done to the armed forces of the countries that go to war – and through them their families and friends.  And there is the damage we leave behind when we bring our forces home.
