Root Causes of War
In order to effectively campaign for the abolition of war, we need to understand what causes war, starting with the most basic question: what is war? Conflict has always been with us, but can this truly be called war? Or did small human conflicts become war with the creation of a warrior class?
Each individual war will have its individual causes. These could be religion, greed, power-hungry leaders, a people’s perceived need or desire for greater resources or simply the result of militarised societies glorifying war. Each cause has to be understood before it can be addressed.
In Root Causes of War you will find articles, essays and links to any information we can find on this issue.
